Now I know you may have clicked on this post because those delicious brownies lured you in… but truthfully, it’s not one of my top 3 recipes of 2014. (It did make honorable mention at 4th place though!) If that’s all you came for, I won’t deny you it’s chocolatey goodness — the recipe for my pumpkin fudge brownies are right here.
I didn’t have much time to do this at the end of 2014, so now I’m taking a look back at some of the most popular recipes of the year. It ended up being an interesting combination — a savory dinner dish, and two sweet dishes.
As for the sweet dishes, you won’t need to feel guilty about either because a) you can never have too many mini cinnamon buns, and b) my fruity breakfast bars are actually healthy! I am not a health nut by any means, but if it tastes good and is good for you… well treasure it, because there aren’t many dishes like that!
So here you go — take a stroll down memory lane with me as I reveal to you the Top 3 Recipes of 2014:
If you love Philly Cheesesteaks, you’re gonna love these. It’s basically a low-carb version without sacrificing any of those ooey-gooey flavors. (You’re really just switching out the bread for a bell pepper.) I love making stuffed bell pepper recipes because they’re so easy — just chop up your ingredients, throw them in a pan, and voila! All you’ve got left to do is scoop them into your pepper halves and slide ’em into the oven.
I also just like cooking with Jake in the kitchen. This recipe may require a lot of prep-work, but don’t worry! Two pairs of hands are always better than one — plus cooking a meal at home makes for a fun and inexpensive date night. Click through to see what you’ll need to make some magic in the kitchen!
Everyone loves cinnamon rolls, so this recipe is guaranteed to be a hit at any get-together. I recently made them for some friends back in November when we had them over to carve pumpkins. You make them with a can of Pillsbury crescents, but they’re so good no one will even know they’re not made from scratch…
I made pumpkin filling for my mini cinnamon rolls, but the options are endless! If you’ve got your own special filling recipe, all you’ve got to do is whip up a batch and spread it on a sheet of crescent rolls. These little guys are super simple to make, and always a crowd-pleaser. Click through to see the recipe!
If you can never find the time to make breakfast before work, these Frozen Greek Yogurt Bars are the perfect solution. What I like to do is make a whole batch at once and let them freeze over night, that way I can just grab one and go in the morning. They also make for a good, healthy snack when you’re craving something sweet and fresh.
Another great thing about this recipe is that it’s totally customizable based on whatever you’re craving. Granola + a mixture of fruits make for a healthy breakfast bar, but then again adding a cup of chocolate chips to your favorite Greek yogurt flavor never hurt anyone… Click through to see my own favorite recipe!
