Taste Tea: Mason Jar Special

Did you get your Taste Tea mason jar yet?

Did you get your Taste Tea mason jar yet?

If you’re in the drink business, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the smart thing to do is jump on the mason jar band wagon. Taste Tea is doing just that. (Along with these other joints.)

As a back to school special, the popular boba joint is releasing a limited number of mason jars daily — with a new color every day (seven total). Monday’s color was blue, dubbed “Monday Blues,” followed by red on “Red Carpet Tuesday,” and Wednesday debuted the pink label.

Naturally I ran on down and got the Strawberry Milk Tea to match.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Mug (left): $8.99
  • Tube (right): $6.99

You can either buy a mug by itself for the prices listed above, or you can buy the mug plus a drink — which will cost you extra. To fill my tube mug cost $4.

There is a limit of two mason jars per customer, and with a limited daily supply they’re sure to sell out fast. So remember, get there early if you don’t want to rely on a friend to snag you one!

Jake and I stopped by around 12:30 pm before I went to work, and there wasn’t even a line (a rarity here). But with school back in session, it’s what you can expect before the after-school rush.

If you go to Taste Tea a lot, you’ll be happy to hear that after you buy a mason jar, you can bring it back and get $0.25 off your refill. Their sign with the details of the special also alludes to being able to participate in future specials with the purchase of a mug.

We’ll have to wait and see what Taste Tea has in store next!

In the meantime, you’ve still got four more days to head down and grab a mason jar! Which colors will the next days reveal? Follow @TasteTeaInc on Instagram or Facebook to stay updated!
